Senior Year after Return Offer from EB
Received a return offer from an EB in NYC after graduation and super stoked about the opportunity. However, I'm finding myself having an awful lot of extra time during my senior year since I don't have to worry about internships/clubs/recruiting anymore.
I want to take a break from finance-related stuff (CFA/PE Recruiting), mostly because I believe this is the last year of my life where I can stay away from finance and that I'll have ample time to work on those in the future. Wondering if anyone had any recommendations in terms of what they did during senior year/how to best spend your time during senior year?
I'm obviously partying and hanging out/drinking with friends but wouldn't mind picking up an additional interesting hobby or project.
Thanks for specifying EB, our advice would’ve been totally different for any other bank
It doesn't change advice - I just wanted to flex
Okay greenhill
Finding myself in a similar position right now. Been spending a lot of time playing golf. Both enjoyable and value-adding for your future
Honestly dude this is your last year where you don’t have to work 50 weeks a year, do some shit that you genuinely want to do and don’t feel bad about it. Travel, chill, read, learn an instrument or language - any of the shit that IB will rob from your life next year
start jelqing exercises every single day. See how far you can get by the end of your senior year. And by far i mean measure it with a ruler
Pretty simple, be a degenerate in your last opportunity to be one. However, you will want to get in the best shape you can because you will have hardly any free time to work out when you hit the desk. Also, kick any bad habits like nicotine because you don't want to go through withdrawals or anything like that when you're on the desk. Wake up, go to the gym, smoke during the day, eat healthily, and booze Thursday through Saturday.
