Relax man, you're an intern. You're expected to screw things up. Just be humble, own it, and don't make the same mistake twice.
I am taking what you said on face value... the lost in translation aspect. But you should always clarify and ask questions before hand. I have had interns in the past who don't take notes when I am talking and then do things completely wrong because they forgot what I said. That drives me insane. If you aren't doing that and it is an honest mistake you are good. If it is the situation that I just described, you're toast.

Honestly - don't be afraid on an analyst. He is only a peg above you. Press on him to get clarification, he may be annoyed but just explain that you want to avoid any rework. At the end of the day, you're doing him a favor. Even if he belittles you for not understanding, the ending result will be much better than the spanking you'll take if you turn something in wrong.
Also, if someone doesn't want to take the time to explain something to you once or twice (assuming you don't need more than that) they are an awful human, and someone you should look at as "what not to be".
To confirm, when you say “screw things up”, do you mean you get back comments and do more edits on say, a pitchbook, or you made mistakes (e.g. did something you are not supposed to do and there was not enough time for your analyst to get you comments on that)
