Sexism in IB

I had an interview with an MD at an AM firm who previously worked in IB out of university. She worked for GS and described the environment as 'abusive'.

I was pretty shocked to hear this, and while this was almost a decade ago, I wanted to know if anyone (male or female) has any stories of overt sexism in recent times.

Investment banks are among the most politically correct and woke firms in this world. A woman complaining about sexism is just a shit analyst.

Curious, how many women are in your intern class (if you've started)? Do you feel that they were hired to meet a quota or that they're qualified?

They're half of my intern class and most of them are incredibly unqualified for a very simple reason: the guys represent the top 1-5% of male applicants, whereas the women represent the top 20% of female applicants.
