Should I ask.. Or is it gonna get me dinged?

I have an upcoming informational with a guy pretty high up in country risk at JPM. So with all the news coming out over the past week, I am wondering if this is something I could use to demonstrate my interest in the company? Or is this gonna seem like an inquisition having him rush to get me off the phone?

I'm sure there are a lot better things you can think of asking to show your interest than a clear sore point. Besides, the only people who DON'T know about what happened are people living under a rock and Paris Hilton, so how would that demonstrate a significant interest? Find something that you actually think is interesting yet also well not very publicized. Also, the guy is in sovereign risk and if my memory is correct JPM's bet was based on company-related stuff, not country-related, so it's not even his forte.
