Should I be worried about background check?

Hello guys. I searched the forums for this question, but my situation seems to be unique, so I thought I would make a post. I recently signed an offer with a BB, but I am worrying about the verification of my work experience on my resume. In September I started working 'part-time' for a small long-only hedge fund. I say 'part-time' because I get paid on a project basis. Once I turn in a specific piece of research or model I get paid. To complicate things further, I was studying for the CFA in the fall and the fund manager decided to let me focus on that for two months after October. I am going to continue working with him starting next week and will be working a lot more since my schedule is a lot more accommodative this semester.

As of now, however, on my resume I have 'part-time' analyst - September-Present. This is basically overstating my employment, so I am wondering if I can get my offer rescinded on this or am I just bugging?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the response I appreciate it. Yeah I was pretty candid about the fact that I only did one project there for now, just didn't want HR to suspect something if they did a background chance. I will make sure to be on same page with the fund manager. And yeah, for anyone reading this going on Google Maps for the city near you and sending out your resume to a few firms with the offer of doing research is the way to go.
