Quick question - include job locations in resume?
I was just wondering if you absolutely have to include the city, state for the schools and jobs?
Right now every single one of my schools and work experiences have been in London and it just looks really repetitive to have it down 9 times. I'd prefer to not include it at all if it were up to me.
Is not including the location a big no-no? Is it one of the must-do's for IB resumes?
Any input would be much appreciated.
Just do it bro.
I put it for work experience in firms where there was a chance where you could have worked somewhere else in the world/uk but no where else.
Resume writing practice - city you worked in, or city based in? (Originally Posted: 05/31/2008)
If you worked on studies in like San Fran, Detroit, and Houston but were based in say Chicago or Miami, would you put the location of the study next to the resume description?
Technically you are taxed wherever you worked, I think?
Just wondering because I saw an MBB resume for PE and they had city mentioned for each of the main studies they discussed.
Just put the city you are based in, no need to break it down by case.
Should I Eliminate Job Location from Resume? (Originally Posted: 03/06/2016)
Hi fellow bankers,
I hope you're doing well. I have a quick question. Is eliminating job location from resume frowned upon?
Context: I interned this past summer in the IBD of a BB in a small country in comparison to the rest in its region. Basically, I do not want to include the location because It makes the internship look less impressive.
You can, but it's misleading... Likely the first question you'll be asked is where you did the internship (i assume this is Europe)
Definitely, that's what I would expect. I know they will be curious; but the point of this is to get the First Round. Do you think that this would in any way hurt my chances?
You can definitely include them. It would likely attract the attention of the recruiter and he may ask some questions related to your internship.
