Should I go? wso conference

So I'm on the fence of whether or not to go to the WSO Conference this June. I have a summer internship, so can only fly in Friday late night and out Sunday afternoon. I'm under 21, therefore I can't attend either the before or after party...a shame:(

Its $99 for the ticket. $250 for the flight, I live far away. going to another conference this month (though got a partial scholarship for expenses), another reason why I'm hesitant.

I've read every single one of the 10 threads on wso conf - this year's and lasts. all the comments too. still undecided. please help in convincing me. (I know the whole "how it will pay dividends in future" argument too).

IMO, if you already have an internship and already "broke in" then I wouldn't go. I went last year, and loved it, met some really nice people and one of the speakers is a good friend of mine now. But that was before when I was also trying to break in. I'm still going this year, but now it's more or less just a refresher/get to see the people I met last year type of thing. I don't think you will miss that much, but it is a hard decision to make. Maybe someone else can chime in.

If you have the money (ie- not using loans to pay for it, or don't need it for something important like school), I'd say go. It's an opportunity to network and meet more people. The under 21 thing does kinda hurt. However, if there are people you could potentially meet for coffee/lunch/dinner the night and morning after, it could be worth it.

Get a fake. Barely anyone in NYC checks IDs, let alone actually make any sort of attempt at identifying a fake one.

Which increases his costs by another $100
