Should I have offered to call first??
Hey guys,
This thought has been bugging me all day. I have recently scheduled a phone chat with an alum who works at a BB in London. (I'm in US)
After scheduling time and date, he immediately offered to call. But, the thing is that I saw his cell # under email signature and just assumed that I would be the one making international call, which is really right thing to do. I was caught up with work so I just sent back a quick confirmation without much detail but that's a bad excuse to make.
Offer has already been made so do you think it's too late to offer him back? I don't know how this is going to be viewed from him. I know this would not matter much if you are in the same country but international call is a different situation, IMO.
Have any of you had similar experiences to this?
Thanks,
JJ
Nah dude. Hes a baller, and hes busy. He can afford the international call, just thank him for his time.
BTW, congrats on your offer :)
I thought so, that he would not really care and for worse, he would get annoyed. But at the same time, I do not want to come across rude or not thoughtful. I am still leaning towards making an explicit offer than assuming he's cool...
He'll probably call you on the office line, which he doesn't pay for anyway.
he offered to call you instead for a reason.
