Should I recruit PE out of undergrad?

Hi WSO! Been lurking here for a while - currently a rising junior at a top state school. I am currently thinking about recruiting PE full-time (instead of heading full-time into IB then doing PE). Below are my stats:

Academics: Business & STEM Double Major, 3.8-3.9 GPA (fluctuates)
Work Experience (reverse chronological order):
BB IBD for Summer 2019 (not GS/MS/JPM, but top group at my firm)
Corp Dev at Major Tech Conglomerate
PE at Upper MM PE Firm (decently well known in its sector)
Scout/Ambassador at Top VC
Portfolio Analytics at MF PE FIrm
BizOps at No Name High Growth Startup

I might also be able to secure an equity research school-year internship at a top BB (in the interview process at the moment) before my Summer 2019 IBD internship. My worry is that because I don't go to an Ivy, I don't have a chance of getting into a top MF PE analyst role (BX/Bain Cap/TPG, etc). Is it still worth a shot, or should I aim to recruit to Top BB IBD for full-time instead? Thanks!

I think there are a couple of threads out there about PE straight out of undergrad. From what I've read and speaking to friends who are going to top MF PE roles (Silverlake, Bx, Warburg Pincus), there are very few MF analysts roles that exist. And for these roles, most of the time they are being filled by kids at top targets with ridiculous summer experiences. Ex. one friend of mine just signed w BX for 2019 and is doing GS for soph summer.

I dont want to sound discouraging. But I personally think you are probably better off trying to recruit for top BB IBD//trying to get a return offer to your group. Take my advice with a grain of salt as I am not one those peeps with a MF PE analyst position. But from what I've heard its an absolute bloodbath to get those jobs.
