Should I wait or..?

Hi all, I had an interview for a full-time position with a top tier BB about 5 weeks ago. They rang me the next day and said they would arrange a final round interview the following week. Unfortunately, they have since got involved in many deals and now the interview has been postponed and postponed again(meant to be in Sep 11 week..). they sent me a couple of emails(one each fortnight) and mentioned that many senior bankers are travelling, and I should hear from them soon.

I am getting very anxious here. Although I do read about their current deals making headlines, I am still getting worried. Could they have changed their mind?(I did say a couple of wrong things in the interview). Also during the interview, they asked me when I would like to start, and I said next March because of my current commitment.

What should I do? Should I wait patiently or should I call them up? Also, I have just got an internship with another top BB, should I ring them up and tell them the situation?

This doesn't sound right at all. Top tier BBs wouldn't have conflicts between recruitment and deals... there are many deals going on all the time, and the people who run recruitment aren't doing deals. There are also always enough seniors in the office to interview people, and Super Days go on no matter what's happening.

Either you're not talking about a top tier BB, or something's wrong.

But don't worry. Nobody in IB has any problem whatsoever telling people they didn't make the grade. If they say they're still interested, they're still interested.

Also, once you read about a deal in the paper, much of the senior bankers' work has already been done. Almost certainly, the deals currently in the paper are not the deals they're focusing on right now.

responsible for my case is a VP..not sure whether it make sense now?

Also, is it because I told them I am only available next year, so they do not priortize me? Should I ring them up to tell them about my internship with another top BB?
