So Citi bankers hate curves?
No, not the kind you plot in axes.
Apparently Citi fired a young woman named Debrahlee Lorenzana, who is filing a lawsuit because she says they fired her coz she's too hot.
Apparently, Lorenzana was told "she should not wear classic high-heeled business shoes, as this purportedly drew attention to her body in a manner that was upsetting to her easily distracted male managers."
I donno about you guys, but I think having some impressive T&A around the office should be conducive to good health and also motivate overworked bankers by helping them keep an eye on the "prize"! What else are you supposed to do with all that cash?
Note the part where Lorenzana says that her clients never complained about her appearance...duh!

Wow, she's definitely got some assets. You see what I did there.
She was a retail banker - I hardly think anyone is overworked down at Uncle Vik's corner stop-and-shop. Or overpaid.
She's a good looking woman, but no so good looking that it would be a major distraction. There's chicks where I work that are close to if not on her level, so I don't get it.
No booty either, just a slim pretty girl with knockers.
^ look at pic no 8! she looks like a call girl, not a corporate professional....
agree that citi is a POS, but that's hardly pandit's fault!
I would have no problem letting her use her ARMs to extend my long line of credit
debrahlee's npv of future earnings (and i'm not just talking money, i'm talking everything) was probably greater down the retail banking node of the bifurcation than the 15-minutes-of-fame one. (btw, i'll say plebeian, maybe garish, fame; do you call it "fame" at all?) actually i'm pretty sure of this. and she'll realize this later down the line (assuming no big lawsuit payout and whatnot, didn't read the article). and then she'll console herself through her stories to her grandkids of how she stuck it to the man. would probably have been better in the long run to just accept the recommendation.
on the other hand, i know nothing about her.
Did anyone else look the pictures? What an upity dyke. It looks like she is trying to get her modeling career off the ground with all those airbrushed facials. Sluts these days are not just divorcing men, but their companies? I hope in the settlement she gets awarded dick (get it!!!!)
but she is just not good enough to get any kind of modeling career based on her looks alone. hence the drama. maybe.
and (maybe??) she was just not good enough to have a good career in finance without her looks. (ok, this may be uncalled for, but i stick by the first sentence at least).
This is stupid. She's pretty but not all that.

I'd fuck her senseless if you know what I mean
She could Part. Time. Model. But she'll probably still have to keep her normal job. Part time model! Oh I can see you at an Auto-Show. Dancin' On a Car.

Oh, how I love this.
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm beeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
nope, boots. not a legit gig. more of a autoshow thing like sf mentions.
Pic was taken out of context. She was there with her daddy, not modeling.
This is the guy who is plowing her on daily basis: http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs619.snc3/32575_3994478581… Her facebook for those who don't have facebook: http://prntscr.com/fe9r
I'd add her, but I don't think a wanna-be-junior-banker has enough $$$ inhis bank account to satisfy her needs. ...
@PussInBoots
Wow....a takeover target if I've ever seen one. Time to take her private.
She's pretty cute, I'd give her an 8, maybe an 8.5, which brings me to the next question...
who is the asshole that made her think she was hot enough to pull some bullshit like this?
Classic
lol +1
she's definitely a 1 on the binary scale. although, given enough to drink, most women are 1s on the binary scale....
i thought pandit loves curves
I thought Pandit had curves.
The comments on this thread are epic
I'd consider poking holes in the condom.
She is pretty hot, but obviously a gold digging skank. My dad worked for ML ages ago and used to tell me a story about how a girl wore a skirt so short you could see her clam. She was sent home. There are acceptable, professional standards at work, sounds like she wore clothes a couple sizes too small and was a complete slut. Doesn't look like she is the type to keep work and play separate. Glad she got canned.
Side note, always hate to see guys all huggy and kissey with chicks who are using them for cash. If I was a fat bald guy and had some 20 year old dime piece I would treat her like an expendable asset. She would treat me as a cash cow. Both have their roles and places.
I am going to start preparing "thank you asshole" cards for all women like this J-Lo wanna be who set women on wall street back 30 years. It's hard enough for us to be taken seriously and now this bassethound, who was probably given the job so a VP wouldn't tell his wife, is complaining? Back to Macy's Midtown you go...idiot!
She looks good, but like some of the other posters mentioned, she certainly isn't hot enough to be getting all this attention.
Regards
but now, she's getting all this attention.
It's gotta be pretty distracting to be working with a woman who doesn't belong there and you want nothing more than to rail her like none other
Deb dear, next time try hiring a modeling agent instead of a lawyer who looks like and is probably a third degree child molester.
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/2008/07/16/2008-07-16_sex_harass_lawyer…
id fucking fire her ass too..............shes obviously more concerned with her appearance than work. Shes not as good looking as people are making her out to be.....give me a break. I wonder if she can carry on an intelligent convo for 5 minutes...
shes in the wrong business....go work at saks
id ask her to keep the louboutins on
The level of discuss on this forum deteriorates every day. Groupthink and sexism abound. Ever considered that maybe the woman's case has merit? Basically everything I've read is "she's hot. she doesn't deserve w/e she got. she should have been fired."
You idiots need to GTFU (grow the F up).
P.S. Get some better jokes too, damn
Make me a sandwich, bitch
Get your delinquent ass back to your MM internship idiot.
Well thank god you're here to defend the poor helpless woman.
DID YOU CLICK ON ANY OF THOSE LINKS TO PICTURES OF HER? SHE DRESSES LIKE SHE WANTS TO BE BENT OVER AND FUCKED SILLY.
If she had a hangtooth and grew up in a middle-lower class family she would've just been another piece of trailer trash. Lucky for her, someone put enough money into her looks that she can barely scrape by as hot.
true that. i'd say "very lucky" and "very barely scrape by".
This is an interesting way to side-step business school for a career change. Maybe if she didn't have an f'ing photo shoot, she'd have a case.
This is just proof that women don't belong on Wall Street. This chick IS hotter than any girl I know going into finance, though. (As far as I can remember, most of the girls I know are in sales anyway.)
I don't know about everyone else but I'm seriously sick of career-oriented girls. I don't mean every career, but really, girls in finance? Wtf are you thinking? They all want to be men. I'd seriously prefer a wife who filled her day with spending my money to a wife who's an investment banker. Modern women act like men, and its disgusting.
Granted most of my views on women are from Nietzsche and Schopenhauer,
I dont mind career woman, or stay at home women, what pisses the living shit out of me is women who study liberal arts, then work in marketing or pr and think they have achieved something in their career and act cocky about it.
Congratulations on being the most ignorant jackass to have ever opened their toxic mouth on this forum. Amazing how many people have blog-balls. Why don't you go say that to a women inside your bank, that's if you even work at one, and see how fast that "chick" has you packing your shit.
I want to say I disagree, and I do to an extent, but I agree to an extent as well :-p
Awesome
I don't understand why people just hate someone who looks hot and works in finance. Everyone automatically assumes that everyone in finance needs to be an ugly, conversative, tight ass. Stop working 17 hours a day and have a little fun.
I love some of the jealous female comments. Listen, the reality is that some people are born with the brains, some people are born with the looks. I'm sure every single one of you have been capitalizing on your good old noggin' to get into Ivy Leagues and land the top jobs. I think she has the right to use her "asset" to get where she needs to be (to an extent). The dumbest thing anyone can do is hate on someone who is maximizing their "competitive advantage" and complain that is unfair. Hey, we don't hate on smart people, but we love to hate on pretty people. People, jealousy will get you nowhere.
Also, give the girl a break - you don't know her. She's probably smarter than you all may think.
This is an example of the fundemental issue facing Wall Street and diversity. If you follow the "golden rule" do unto others... you wind up with a harassment lawsuit. No woman in the workplace should be subjected to any level of objectification or comment about appearance, but if a man is wearing pants that are too tight he would hear about it too. In order to include all in the Wall Street culture the culture must change and that type of change happens over generations and not much faster. If her claims are true she will probabaly get a settlement and be forced to find a new career. Wall Street is still a man's world by and large and it will remain so as the women who are successful tend to do so by accepting the current environment. Then once in positions of power these women have become ingrained in the culture as-is and therefore do nothing to change it and then the cycle repeats. Also by the time a woman reaches a Managing Director role she is probably old enough to not have to worry about being considered too sexy. I do not know what the correct answer is but it is still very difficult to be a woman on Wall Street and will probably remain so until the women on Wall Street find a way to change the culture.
Shes definitely hot, but I dont like the fact that she had a photoshoot for the pics. You know why she is doing this and its only for attention.
Typical.
Without the photoshoot, I wouldnt mind much, but its an obvious sign that she wants to get the attn of modeling agents.
STFU BretEastonEllis
None of these Wall Street career women (and probably no women anywhere) are interested in being your wife
What a joke. Is being hot considered an under-represented minority now? I'm pretty damn good looking, I think I should get a raise, life isn't fair.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protected_class
Doesn't seem to be on the list... the lawyer who filed this POS should be censured
Pretty fine...
^^^^^^ My reply to BretEaston and anyone else who feels that I don't belong inside a bank because I am a female.
^^ You do realize it's shit like this that makes people so hesitant to hire women in the first place? I know a lot of guys who have incompetent EA's etc who they put up with because they're afraid of a lawsuit. If you can't fire them because they'll sue you, might as well not deal with the hassle of hiring any more than you have to in the first place (although obviously EA's have to be chicks).
"Never did I ever show cleavage," the divorced single mom said
^ well that explains why she got fired
If someone feels that women don't belong on Wall Street, don't be a coward and say it on an anonymous blog, go tell it to a female inside the bank. I have heard it many times. I work with tons of pricks and we all say inapropriate things to each others faces and I don't go running to HR about it. Learn to hire a girl with a sense of humor and a brain. Last time I checked I didn't learn hair curling and history of the Kardashians in B-school. Nor did my Finra and CFA exams consist of shoe-shopping and learning different shades of pink. How funny to imply that women aren't competent enough to be on Wall Street when Wall Street has been a shit-show run by males, especially looking at the past 5 years. It's 2010 people, wake up.
I kid, I kid...kinda
grrr, I was going to make a like-minded response to that comment.
Funny, I was going to say that it's the last five years we've seen more women on Wall Street than ever before and it's turned into a shitshow. And here you are bitching about how guys on this anonymous blog are being sexist and you go and say something like that. Womankind can thank you for the term "dumb bitch"
I would hope this comment isn't directed at me, because I definitely wasn't asserting that women in finance aren't competent. I was merely saying that modern women seem to want to be men. It had nothing to do with skills or ability, its about the fact that, to me personally, the sort of ruthlessness and competitive drive I associate with banking are not characterstics I desire in a woman.
Who wants a dealmaker for a wife? Christ... I want somebody like Giada from the food network. I'm just sad women are losing their femininity.
"Girls as Gymnasium students.— For heaven’s sake, do not pass our Gymnasium education on to girls too! For it often turns witty, inquisitive, fiery youths—into copies of their teachers!"
why are you getting this upset, the sexist generelizations apply to most women, you are the exception and that is good for you. now stop getting all emotional about this or youre just going to open yourself up to even more sexism
I wish blumie were still around, this thread would definitely be his cup of tea.
@Mezz- Ironically, the guy who gave me the best flat-ironing tips was a straight male (he was Euorpean) when I was an SA.
@streetn - Im not upset but I find it kind of funny that people assume a girl can't handle banking and that those assumptions are never made out loud, only in blogs.
Oh, PS, they don't say it in the workplace because they want to keep their jobs. Your gender is a protected class, enjoy it.
And in case you're wondering, no, I have nothing against women working in finance when they earn it.
Thank you Mas. That's the whole point I'm making. It's silly to base competence on gender. There are men AND women screwing up at work. And no I don't care to be in a protected class bc women like that women at Citi take it too far and make things harder on those of us who laugh things off. Citi has been hit like 4 times in the past 7 years with lawsuits like this so what does that say about their recruiting?!
That they have 250,000 employees?
lol
There are other ginormous organisations and you don't hear of sexism/discrimination lawsuits every 18 mos. So either they are settling with these women before it gets to the media or they are just hiring better women.
OK, let's be scientific about this. Well, pseudo-science, based on my quick googling.
Americas Largest Companies by Employees (1)

So, in other words, Citigroup is average to below average when it comes to allegations of sexual harassment, based on my rough googling.

nice tits () ()
Home Depot and Walmart don't surprise me but GE...yikes. What did you find on other banks getting harassement lawsuits from women? I know Lehman had one case a couple years ago but they gave her so much "STFU right now" money that nobody ever heard of it.
I just googled the firms in the top 10 list of employers - I actually thought the class-action suit against AT&T was the most surprising one. Wal-Mart is clearly bigger, but that suit was opt-out; the AT&T one was opt-in, and they still found 150 employees.
One point to bear in mind is you're not going to see most sexual harassment suits against banks in courts, as they'll automatically go to binding arbitration iirc (Antilla, 2002)
Very Funny.
Why would she take those pictures after the whole fallout?...douche move.
Very Funny.
Why would she take those pictures after the whole fallout?...douche move.
My point exactly. I dont like the way she went about things.
If she didnt do a whole photoshoot afterwards, I would think she was serious. Now I just think she is doing it for attn to spawn a future career on modeling.
Edit
That article was way too long. How can you talk about hotness for four pages? Should've had more pictures instead. A picture is worth a thousand words...
Now that I'm done being a sexist ass, it does suck what this girl went through. One of her bosses invited her to his office and showed her a picture of his dick? Come on man, that's pretty terrible. Imagine how that would feel dude - everyone around you doesn't care about you as a human being, they just want to use you for what you have. And the more these desirable things you have (attractiveness, wealth, whatever), the more this dynamic comes into play.
On a somewhat related note: http://www.cracked.com/article_17061_5-things-you-think-will-make-you-h…
i dont get it. i am looking at these pics and i dont think she dresses too inappropriately. and she's def not that hot, you'd proabably see trannies in LA that are hotter than this chic.
