Interviewed here as well, fund was really focused on using political connection to bolster growth. They market themselves with a list of “connections” in their wheelhouse / LP base. People were generally nice but this is one of those small shops that could either be a great opportunity or completely miserable
Sure, CPI leads their recruitment. When I interviewed it was a 3 round process:
1st Round - 2 of their investment professionals joined, walked through resume and then did a ‘mini case-study’ which was a high level walk through a potential investment
2nd Round - In person interview at the office, more case study work
Final Round - In person interviews, Informal Discussions, Modeling Test and then case study presentation
Ultimately turned down the offer for another opportunity so can’t speak to actual lifestyle / culture.

Heard second-hand that it sucks there as an associate and junior members are actively trying to lateral out.
Few years old and anecdotal, but these dudes acted like absolute clowns/slimeballs in a process. Not the Romney PE shop I'd want to work for.
Interviewed there, didn't vibe w/ them
What was their interview process like?
Good exit opp from the public sector
