Solar/Renewable Energy Biz Dev

Currently interviewing for a biz dev analyst position with a large solar company. I know the first project would be centered around developing/tweaking a cost model within my particular group.

First, was wondering if anyone had any insight into what working in the renewable energy industry is like. I'm coming from a F500 tech company so I have no experience in energy.

Second, my previous position was much more customer focused and I decided to leave to pursue something more quant/analytical like this position. Can any one give any insight into a day in the life of a biz dev analyst (I have searched and read through prev. posts. Just looking for new perspectives).

Thanks in advance.
