You're at Wells Fargo I'm assuming?

It's even worse than ECM / DCM, there's pretty much no direct exit opportunities from Wells Fargo ABF to buy-side roles, except maybe an ABS fund and even then I didn't see that happen very often. You'd have to lateral to an actual IB group first if you want an actual exit.

I remember seeing you somewhere and checked your post history.

Man they screwed you hard and you made it your life's mission to destroy their reps on WSO - I am not at WFC but just annoyed to see you mentioned it everywhere even under a PE topic. No one cares so pick up urself already

A lot of structured products people on this site are super sensitive and butt hurt when you mention anything that can be perceived to be negative about the industry..

The truth is, exit opportunities from this space are few and far in between. A bunch of my contacts encouraged me to do corporate for 1-2 years so I can develop a broad skill set and have more opportunities down the road.

From ABS, you'll be able to transition into the treasury arm of financial institutions pretty easily, especially of those in the industry that you cover (ex: an autos abs analyst can easily transition into the treasury arm of Toyota/Porsche, etc)

Others exits: pension fund/other funds that invest in these products.
