Sophomore at Non-Target, No Experience - Please Murder my Resume

Hoping to get some feedback on my resume with internship recruiting under way. I go to a semi-target private university but, BB's pretty much prefer the business school kids, so I have to work a little harder. Currently a sophomore and trying to break in this summer (BB, MM, Boutique, PWM, anything). I have extremely thick skin, so please say whatever comes to mind.

Any reason you're chose A&S over the business school? Just curious.

I'd spell out Bachelor of Arts - "Bachelor of Arts in Economics" and change your Class of 2014 to "Expected May/June 2014" (if you're planning on graduating in another month, just replace the month)

List the specific scholarship you got by name and put it under honors. "XYZ Scholarship (merit-based (if it is) full-tuition scholarship)"

Capitalize the L in Dean's List.

You can probably combine Micro and Macro into "Micro/Macroeconomics" Also, if it was intro micro/macro you should indicate that. Same thing with your Principles of Econ, combine to "Principles of Economics I/II"

Spell out Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

Capitalize L in President's list, might want to explain what Freshman Honors exactly is.

I'm not sure if BIWS is really something you want to take up so much room on your resume with. It seems like it's more of a thing you put under skills. If you want to keep it on there like that, watch your verb tenses since you are indicating that you're still doing it.

For what it's worth, I think your BIWS bullets are pretty strong.

Maybe try to find a stronger verb than "assisting" for your third startup bullet?

I really wouldn't put something you got rejected for on your resume.

Take finance off your interests and come up with something else that makes you seem like a human.

You've got a good start but you can do better. I'd expand on your startup experience since it's really the only tangible thing you've got. Have you worked any other jobs? Pizza restaurant, lifeguard, anything? You're only a sophomore, I don't think you're going to get dinged if you have something like that on your resume. At least it shows that you can work.

Try to get into some leadership roles at school.

Thanks for replying!!!

I got into the regular school. Had the GPA requirement for the Bschool but, was dinged because I missed a few credit requirements (i.e. Applied Calculus, Statistics, etc.). I can transfer by next fall but, that won't help me out this year. I'm guessing if I can break into Finance this summer, my major won't matter any longer.

I've had plenty of part-time jobs. I just didn't know if "Wal-Mart" would be appropriate on a IB resume.
