Sophomore Summer Internship: HF vs PE?

Choosing between an HF and PE internship for this summer. I understand that PE is closer to the type of work in IB so would taking the HF internship hinder my chances at all for IB compared to if I had worked in PE? I like the optionality that HF work gives me in case I decide to pursue quantitative finance instead of IB. I have previous experience in IB too if that matters.
