Sophomore/Junior Year GPA for IB
Hi everyone - I am a rising sophomore at UMich and I was hoping people could share some information about GPA requirements for firms. Currently, I have a 3.74 but I have heard a couple of things.
- I heard that the BB (JPM, GS, MS) care less about your GPA (3.6 and above) I was wondering how accurate this really is.
- I heard Evercore will not accept people who have below a 3.9 for the first round. How true is this and how likely are they to overlook a 3.7.
- How true is the narrative about having a 3.5 is all you need as the resume cut off. I was not sure if this was ever the case but if it is, please let me know.
- Does GPA become much more important when you are recruiting for the buy-side? is 3.7 enough or what are they looking for?
