Sources to learn expense costs for different asset classes and property types?
Finishing up by first year out of college as an Analyst with a NYC IS team. Want to know if there is any source available where I can basically learn how much everything "costs." Is there any website or other source where I can learn what to project for pro forma expenses? The more asset classes and property types the better, I just want real numbers not broker's OM BS'ed figures.
IREM, BOMA, and talking to property managers.
This is going to vary pretty wildly company to company, city to city, and property to property.
Your best source is to look at public company filings. Look at different points historically and see how their operating profile changed over time.
