SPAC Recruiting / Exit Opps

Hi fellow WSOer's...

Have a quick question regarding SPAC recruiting....what's your take on leaving PE (traditional MM fund) for a SPAC opportunity? Are junior level roles at SPAC's pretty hard to come by (e.g. worth pursuing)?

Also interested in the exit opportunities at a SPAC. Let's say the SPAC fails to acquire a platform within 24 months...what are the possible paths that one can take afterwards? Thanks all. Really appreciate the help here.

Most SPACs are being sponsored by growth equity, buy out shops and professionals that have a reputation in the industry. So you may find it easier to try and find a role in growth equity or buyout, even if it hasn't got a SPAC yet the chances are pretty good they'll have one in the future.

For most of these funds, a SPAC is just another way to raise capital. At a junior level it would be hard to see how much value one could add from this point of view.

Even if you could find an appropriate junior role working for a SPAC, there is a chance that it all comes crashing down. My suggestion would be to find a solid footing with a reputable investment firm that you can build your career on.
