Spinning an interview question

This past semester, I have been an equity research intern at a growth fund. I was asked to come back next semester which I will. However, I am applying to sell side firms for a summer internship in equity research. How do I spin the question why are you leaving the buyside for the sell side? I am trying to branch out because the current firm is too small to hire, less than 500 million under management. Thank you.

Don't frame the question around buy side vs sell side, frame it around This Bank vs That Bank, and just give the same answer you would to the question: Why this bank?

If they have a good analyst, like one ranked ii, or are known for a specific group you're in, give that at as a reason, say you feel like you could learn more in this group than your other group in the buy side for reasons X and Y
