Transgendered people who want to compete in sports do not adhere to the separation of gender based on biological sex.
To me, the simple solution is get rid of the separation altogether, but I'm assuming they won't do this, because we all know, men and women are not all that similar afterall, and women would be at a complete disadvantage in sports.
The weak alternative advocates promote is to make all sports based on gender chosen and not by sex, which makes no sense, because it would mean all men should choose to enter sports as a gendered woman to take advantage of this faulty system.

Sex should be chromosome based. Gender isn't a thing, or at the very most is binary.
Gender dismorphia is the only medical condition that we don't ascribe to being a medical condition.

Yeah this might come off as an extremely ignorant/hot take, but the idea that transitioning/acting as the other sex is the best treatment for gender dysphoria due to maximizing well-being seems like a pretty tenuous fix.
It's like saying the best current treatment for schizophrenia is everyone pretending that the schizophrenic's CIA delusions are real and letting them think it's true to maximize their psychological well-being.
Well, why not? The woke solution for opioid addiction is providing addicts with needles, nurses, testing, and a place to shoot up. Why not pretend that you can hear the voices, too, if it makes the schizophrenic feel validated? Honestly, these bigots should just let alcoholics spend all day in a bar so that they can live their lives.

Definitely an issue close to my heart since I was an athlete in school. I just laugh now when Democrats say they support women and are Feminist. This sports thing is going to erase every real woman's achievement in athletics if it's allowed to stand. To every woman out there, if you are voting for SJWs you're voting for people who believe there is nothing unique or special about being a woman. There's a great example of the legal repercussions of this stuff being permitted in the Alaskan case of a trans "woman" trying to get a battered women's shelter to let them inside. Just think, a drunk biological man (still has a penis, for anyone who will try to argue maybe they're passing) whose clearly been in a fight, standing outside of a battered women's shelter, intimidating actual women, is now acceptable. These people are mentally ill, deserve our compassion, and desperately need help. Telling them they're real women and humoring them with all this ridiculous stage acting is akin to telling the schizophrenic that the voices are in fact real and they should listen to everything they're told by them. Gender Dysphoria has been a recognized condition for years and these individuals commit suicide at a magnitudes higher rate than the general population which is the real epidemic no one who advocates for them seems willing to talk about. Playing along and refusing to address the underlying mental health issue that's obviously present is in my opinion a combination of abuse and medical malpractice.

The other issue is that conservatives have been so retarded on social / gender / LGBT issues historically that I pretty much zone out anything they say about said issues. Why would I listen to a group of people who think gay people shouldn't be allowed to marry or that women don't face discrimination in the workforce?
