Stand out as an Intern at Global Macro HF
I am a 3rd year Acct. and Finance Major at a non-target school, I managed to network my way into a Summer 2019 internship with a Global-macro hedge fund. Summer after Freshman year I interned at a single-manager value shop and impressed him with advanced modeling skills and company analysis, but at this level that doesn't to much to distinguish anymore. I'm concerned that my interest and experience is more biased towards individual equities and value investing but there is also weight on being able to analyze individual stocks and instead build positions from a macro-perspective. Are there things I can do now to start building a more macro perspective before my internship and during my internship to stand out?
