Starting a Business, then going into HF

Hi WSO, I am in a time of indecisiveness. I have an idea that I want to pursue, and I'm fairly certain it will work because its a practical solution to a problem, but investing and analyzing securities has been a passion of mine for a while. I have been studying markets and reading financial literature for the past couple of years, but now I feel I should pursue this idea instead. I ultimately want to end up in the HF space, but I am worried that starting a business now and getting off track might hurt me down the line. I would love to get your opinions and I am curious if any other people have started businesses and gone on to work in HF.

Just to be clear, I am a high school senior and I will be starting college this September.

Thank you, I am curious what your opinions are.
