Starting at a sweatshop - How did you prep yourself for the hours before starting?

signed with a top EB and feel very fortunate, but I've been warned the hours are going to be very long and the team lean (Moelis, PJT type of sweatiness). How did any of you prep for going into banking when in college? I've never had to do anything close to 100 hour weeks in college and have trouble replicating it on my own. Looking for tips on how to adapt to be constantly working. Thanks all.

  • Get in shape
  • Get your wardrobe squared away
  • Give yourself time to settle into your new living situation
  • Buy a keyboard, monitors, etc that you like

Invest in yourself now while you still have time to make your life better in the imminent future.

Get yourself into a routine early. Carve out time to go to the gym every day (and work out now to get into a health shape). And just expect that this is part of the job. Get your diet in order now to help keep in order. You won't get used to things until you actually start but routine is oen of the few things that can help you get used to prepare for these things.
