Steve Jobs High School GPA

It should be no longer a surprise to hear of a successful businessperson who did not do well in school, but Steve Jobs high school GPA was 2.65! As if you needed another reminder that academic record means very little. Just think of the teachers who thought he would amount to nothing.

hahah he was working at hewlett packard while in high school....can you say outlier? skews the gpa a little bit kiddos, read between the lines.

Here's the thing. If you can't spot the sucker in the first half hour at the table, you are the sucker.

As fun as things like this might be, just remember: Given a 2.65 GPA, you're far more likely to work at a gas station than to end up a billionaire beloved by hipsters.
But, you can work at a gas station and still be loved by hipsters, so it seems like a win win.

Academic record doesn't matter unless you're not Steve Jobs.

Did he slack off or was he too cool for school? Btw GPA back then has little affect on getting into a good school, but know it is all about GPAs. A 2.65 student would most likely fail in modern day.

Very interesting. The two wealthiest people I've encountered in life never went to college and one of them didn't even finish the 9th grade, albeit neither of them work in finance. One of them kind of scares me with the whole importing/exporting thing with the Czech Republic.
