Sticking out for student investment fund applications
Hello all, I am interviewing and applying for my university's student investment fund. I am an incoming IB summer analyst in M&A but am very interested in public market investing and maybe HF down the line, hence why this experience would be very beneficial to me. One of the questions on the application asks: How would you approach generating a stock pitch? What would your screening process look like? What information would you want to analyze, and how would you ultimately determine a buy or sell recommendation?
Just looking for any advice/tips or things I should include to best stand out in my application. I feel like I already have a strong idea of this, but since my interviews were for M&A, I never gave a stock pitch in that setting/got any feedback on my thought process.
