Strategy Consulting After Brexit
Was wondering if anyone has any insight into how London-based consultants will fare after Brexit? More specifically with regards to whether consulting in the EU would be shut off, viability of exits, headcount reductions, etc.
Bump
Why would EU consulting be closed off? Do you think Swiss consultants only work between Geneva and Zurich?
London and its libertarian fiscal rules are not going anywhere anytime soon. Neither will the banks and PE houses.
Thats fair, but I guess working in the EU afterwards would be entirely out of the question after leaving consulting? Unless one were to transfer to a EU office , exits would thus be entirely constrained to the UK no?
That depends on individual circumstances. Personally I am a EU citizen, so it makes no difference to me.
The EU has never been against attracting foreign talent; getting a work visa will not be hard for qualified individuals; even if special agreements with the UK will not be in place (which I deem unlikely)
Thats fair! I am a non EU citizen tbh - I assume not much would have changed for me then regardless of Brexit. Do you work in London?
