Strategy& Healthcare vs. McKinsey Implementation
Hi everyone - long time lurker, first time poster. Wondering what you guys think about this situation. I know this forum is very prestige / brand / "tier" driven so I already know what many of you are going to say. What would you guys choose if you were faced with offers from the mentioned groups? This would be for an experienced, non-manager role.
I've done a lot of implementation / execution consulting and working for the same client for upwards of 12 months can get stale. I think the opportunity with S& might be better from a professional growth standpoint as strategy engagements are typically much shorter and you get exposure to more clients. Comp seems to be pretty comparable across both roles.
On a related note, are exit opportunities really going to be that different?
If you want to do strategy, take S&. If you want to do Implementation, take McK.
S&, shorter / more interesting projects will be advantageous in your early career if you're still figuring out what you're interested in
Isn't McKinsey implementation middle office? Whereas S& Is FO? Or am I incorrect?
