Street cred for schools

I'm going to be applying to some masters of finance programs and I was wondering what the street cred is for s & t from the following schools:

-Oxford
-LSE
-Cambridge
-Villanova
-Vanderbilt
-Toronto
-Tulane

I don't know much about these schools as far as street cred goes and any insight would be greatly appreciated

Dipset, what do you have against MIT? It seems that every time the name comes up you have something negative to say.

The Masters in Finance Program is extremely new, small (20-30 people), and currently intended for MIT students as an extension of their undergraduate education, although it will be expanding in the upcoming years.

I've never been impressed with MIT Sloan when compared to the student body, but the program is being run in part (mainly research) through LFE as well. MIT's LFE are the minds who brought you Black-Scholes, Cox-Ingersoll-Ross, and Modigliani-Miller. Considering this, and the rest of LFE, I don't know how you can question it as being a great program.

U of Chicago & UCB - masters in financial mathematics & masters in financial engineering respectively. You really can't apply to one of these programs without some solid mathematics background. By that I mean, at least a minor in math or studies in some other scientific field. If you look at their FAQs they say that the number one reason most candidates get rejected is because insufficient mathematical qualifications. As for the OPs question; LSE, Oxford and Cambridge are all top notch. Also look into Warwick (great school) for finance. As for the US, I'm not so aware of Vanderbilts placements and their website really doesn't mention any placements into Wall Street programs. No info. on Toronto or Tulane. Some other schools you could consider;

-JHU -Princeton -MIT -UVA(if you're studying in a non-finance related field in college right now)
