Structured Equity Sales -- Should I accept this job
Hi all,
I've been offered a role in the structured equity sales team in an Asian investment bank.
I'm happy about this role of course, but the truth is, I don't actually know what structured equities are -- and how on earth I landed this job offer (please don't judge me).
I'm currently working in the world's largest asset management firm in a fairly niche research role -- I'm comfortable there but bored out of my mind. I'm thinking of moving.
Can someone share more about what structured equity sales teams di, how much in demand this particular role is in the finance world (ie would I be able to switch firms easily 3-5 years from now), what skill sets/knowledge would I pick up? Thanks!
