Appreciate the help in advance:
I recently was let go from my BB (2.5 years in, promotion approved this year) as our group has been under internal/regulatory fire recently. We have lost over 50% of the group YoY, so nothing personal to me. We finance portfolios of hedge funds/PE funds/real estate. Now that I have the option to move into a different space, I'm looking to make the shift into CRE. I worked a lot with managers in the space vis a vis our financing deals, but obviously removed from the investment side of things. I've been networking as best I can across the space, and made it clear that I'm willing to take the bump down to Analyst (first year) to get the experience. Any general advice? Many thanks.
