Student major in operation research wants to break into REIT or REPE

Hi guys,

I am trying to find a job in the REITs or REPE industry after I finish my master degree. However, I am not sure if my experiences and my education background able to help me break into these two industries.

Here is something about me: I started my career as a real estate agent after I graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a finance degree. After working as real estate agent for 4 years, I decided to go back to school to pursue my master degree last year. I am currently working on my master degree in operation research at USC. I will be done with my master degree by the end of the year.

Any advise? Thanks a lot!

can't see your work experience and finance degree as anything else than a big plus for the job hunting

is there any chance for you to take real estate finance classes? could be worthwhile imo
