Studying Abroad: Recruiting and Superday Impact

I am a rising Junior that will be studying abroad during the Fall 2017 semester while applying to Summer 2018 Analyst internships positions. (Yes, I know this is during recruiting, but it's basically mandatory/expected at my college for Junior Fall.) Can anyone who has previously participated in IB recruiting abroad, or aware of how it works, talk about how this impacts the recruiting process for better/worse. How does this affect superday interviews; will I need to fly back to into the country if I get a superday offer? Also, do any banks have earlier application deadlines for those studying abroad in the fall. Thanks for your help!

No it's not mandatory, but around 80% of juniors go abroad their fall semester, so it's highly encouraged. It's also the only semester that worked for my schedule due to graduation requirements and such.
