Sub 400 suits

Hey guys I've been suit shopping for my pharmacy school interview as I have been working out since I bought my last suit and do not like how it fits me anymore. I am a pretty big guy and wear a 46r/l with a 36/34 waist and am looking for a slim fitting suit. I found a hugo boss modern fit suit for 380 dollars that looked good on me but was wondering if something from j.crew or Ralph Lauren would be better in that price range? Thanks for any advice offered. Not looking to spend anymore than that as I'm planning to buy a couple nicer quality suits at the end of the summer.

Each brand is slightly different fit-wise and only you know your body type. The best advice for suit shopping is to just try on suits one by one, narrowing it down by what you like, and the best fit right off the rack. The fewer alterations needed, the better.

you mean alteration by them right? I think you had to pay for alteration to them atleast once even if you bought a suit from them isnt it?

or does all suit purchased from them come with free alteration?
