Submit a question for upcoming "Best Practices for Technical Interviews" webinar

One of our mentors will be doing a private webinar this Saturday and for the Q&A section he would like to field questions from the community beforehand. The mentor is currently an IB analyst at a BB bank, specializing in Media and Telecom.

What would you like to know more about in regards to technical interview questions?

Submit your questions in the comments and I will send these over to him tomorrow. When the webinar goes on the frontpage I will @mention you so you can see the replay.

Thanks! -Andy

Hi, thank you for this great opportunity!

Here's my question:

As I am applying for a summer analyst position in IBD, I wanted to know if there were any questions asked about the valuation methodologies used (DCF, Trading Comp, Transaction Comp). If it's the case, then what would the interviewer expect from my level of understanding in regards to those methods If not, what would be the typical technical questions asked during interviews.

Looking forward to that presentation.

Coming from a non-target undergrad school and no relevant internship experience - Do the interviewers realize this and therefore not try and slam you with technical questions? Do they understand that you have had no exposure and that the best you could have done was self-teach before interview day? Or do they simply not care and slam you no matter what and grin when you start squirming in your seat?
