Suggestion for moving to Connecticut?

I'm thinking about moving from California to Connecticut after finishing after concluding all my business in CA. Is there any particular city that is great for young Finance/Real Estate professional?

care to elaborate? aside from family, why would you leave a high tax state with perfect weather, good job opps, and beautiful women for a high tax state with shitty weather, declining job opps, and gremlins?

do you have any family (Wife, kids, etc)? Those things could and would probably effect the options that make the most sense for you.

i grew up in CT..went to college in CT...worked in CT....moved to NYC and live/work in NYC now.

Unless you have a family with kids and enjoy the suberbs...its a horrible place to live (not much to do, not much of a social life outside the universities, no public transportation).
On the flipside, if you have kids, and still need/want to commute into NYC, then its a decent suberb option (although, i could argue that NJ is a better replacement)

Commute from CT to NYC is 60 minutes, minimum

Same 60 minute commute from NJ (for the same $$) gets you
-more land
-more house
-more services (parks, businesses, etc..)

just google it...you're welcome

Since no one actually answered the question, I figured I would chime in as a former Connecticut resident.

As a young finance professional, I would highly recommend Stamford. It is definitely expensive but the city is young, has a great night scene and is only an hour train ride to NYC. RBS as well as several other finance shops have major offices there so there is already industry presence.
