Summer Before Recruitment
I'm a sophomore at a target/semi target school near Chicago and recruitment is right around the corner. However, landing internships has been my issue. On top of that, the summer internship I was confident in was put on pause by the firm because of COVID-19 concerns (understandably). What is the feasibility and value of any ad hoc or remote projects for companies? Without a doubt, they would require some connections and cold emails, but I was thinking it could be a back up to a formal internship. Any advice is appreciated as well!
