Summer Internships - Junior at non-target

Hey guys,

I have been a "viewer" on this site for a long time and can't even begin to explain how much of a help it has been to see all of your insights.

With that said, I would like to get some opinions on my situation.

I am a junior at a non-target but am a very strong applicant with strong test scores as well (i noticed some people think this is important. also, I came to my school because they offered a full ride) I did not receive any offers for IB this summer although I did have some interviews. I currently have 3 offers for OPS with BB's but am hesitant to take this. I am in the process of cold-calling and trying to network for a mm or boutique bank for the summer. also, I have a guarantee with PE in florida but im not sure how much "real" work i would be doing. I have heard that once you do OPS, you are left with the stigma of being that type of person and it can be very hard to get into IB.

Basically, what are your thoughts on my options? Should I push hard for a MM or boutique bank, take the PE, or take OPS?

Thanks!

The PE seems like a good opportunity and should leave your options open going into full time. Certainly don't do ops. If you can get IB at a boutique/MM through networking, that would also be a pretty good opportunity.
