The Packers will make it to the SB..for the sole fact that they have home field if they didn't the Saints would make it. In the AFC its a crap shoot who knows whats going to happen.

None of the teams really stand out this year. The Packers defense is pathetic, but I'll pick them to make it out of the NFC...I remember how the Saints struggled in Seattle last year. For AFC....I'm probably gonna stick with Baltimore, New England's defense is worse than Green Bay's.

Rice rushed for almost 200 yards and 2 TDs yesterday, he's fine

Wow all this Packer bandwagon love. The pack has one of the worst defenses in the history of 1-loss teams. Granted the Patriots have just as an abysmal defense, they can put up stellar numbers on offense and Tom Brady is a beast. Yes the offense for the Pack puts up numbers, but its against inferior competition

New England Patriots

vs.

New Orleans Saints

I'll bet the house on this

I would ride the N'awlins train if Green Bay was forced to play in the Superdome.... but Saints have struggled outdoors and in inclement weather... GB is built for that.

I'll take Patriots conditional on the Bengals beating the Texans. Then NE has to play Bengals followed by ONE of Ravens/Steelers (as opposed to playing the Steelers THEN Ravens).

The Pats defense does suck, but Tom Brady has won Super Bowls with Deion Branch as his top receiver, now he's got Welker and Gronkowski playing the at the top of their games, I don't think they need a defense.

The running back who's hurt is the OTHER AFC North one: Rashard Mendenhall of the Steelers. Reports say he's likely to miss the first playoff game... Hobbled Big Ben? and primary tailback out? God is tilting the scales in favor of Tim.

Tebow has looked like shit the past few weeks, but it's not like the Steelers offense has been much better. I mean, they only put up 13 on Cleveland yesterday.

This game reminds me so much of Saints/Seahawks last year though. The line is inflated (Steelers -9, which is ridiculous considering you get 3 points just for being the home team). Everyone was so pissed that Seattle was allowed to make the playoffs that the oddsmakers were able to put up a huge spread in favor of NO and still get the majority of bets placed on the Saints. This is the same situation...I don't think Denver will win but I at least see them covering.

Re Packers over Saints -

Pack already beat NO by 8 in week 1 Saints are a different team outdoors - They average about 12-13 less outdoors than they do in Domes. They looked completely different in Tennessee and Tampa - two crappy defenses

Giants vs NE. Completely serious! The front 4 on D is starting to look more and more like the 07' team. They beat the Packers in 07' at Lambeau and would have this this time too (granted this was a home game) if the D had held off A Rod for 58 secs. It'll be really helpful if someone can take out NO before the NFC championship game though.

Did you just say that the Giants could have won if they didn't let the Packer's score more points than them? LOL.

I think the point of that drive...maybe more than any other that Rodgers made this year...is that it is nearly impossible to stop him because he has too many outlets and he can progress through his reads so fast that he can find the guy that is open, or nearly open. I'm not trying to swing on A's rod (get it?) but his greatness, if you will, this season has been about his accuracy and decision making. This about a WR core that is just faster than the secondary and can blow their coverage every play and this isn't a QB winging balls into the endzone and hoping Randy Moss or Calvin Johnson can come down with the catch...these are precise quick slants and tight, nearly perfect back shoulder passes that are practically impossible to defend. Just sayin'.

I think the point of that drive was that the front 4 couldn't get to A's Rod (that IS funny). Given that Osi's back this time and Tuck looks healthier by the minute I'm betting the Rod's going right into GB's A if they meet again :)

Go BIG BLUE!!!

The crazy thing that the team with the best defense no longer matters, its all about the rushing game, Packers have the worst defense in the league but there rushing game is crazy...

hmm..... GB is 27th of 32 in rushing offense..

Patriots vs. Saints, with Saints winning.

The patriots defense definitely worry me, but the steelers, whom i see as their biggest threat, are plagued with injuries. Mendenhall is out for the rest of the season, and Roethlisberger is not 100%. The packers defense meanwhile is horrendous, and i think they will lose to the saints in the NFC champsionship game.

Although the Packers are the obvious favorite, I'm taking

Patriots over 49ers.

Pats will win the AFC with their offense, although Baltimore may put up a good fight.

The NFC is much more interesting. Mark my words, the Saints will lose in San Francisco. Drew Brees becomes mediocre outdoors (like when he was the WOAT in San Diego), and the Saints have not played a defense of the 49ers caliber outside yet. The 49ers offense may be average minus, but they should should still be plenty good against the weak Saints defense. I think the 49ers can definitely win this game by 7.

If it's Packers-49ers in the NFC championship, it's going to be very weather dependent. Ironically, if it's very snowy/windy/rainy, it favors the 49ers, because now running the ball and field position become a premium. The 49ers have a solid rushing attack, a stellar run defense, the the best special teams in the NFL. The Packers are basically opposite that. Of course, if the weather isn't bad, the Packers should be able to sew it up.

Although the Packers are 9-5 favorites right now, I don't think its inconceivable that a team like NE can outpace them on offense. A team like Baltimore can even keep up with them, if the defense plays well and forces a turnover or two.

Is it too late to guess? I am going with the Saints. Having been a quarterback in high school (a very bad one at that), I have no idea how it is humanly possible for Brees to be making some of the throws he does. Usually when they do the skycam instant replay I can break down how a quarterback reads coverage, but the way Brees does it is super-human.

I have a feeling the Steelers are not going to run all over the Tebows this evening. If Rapelesberger's foot is still bothering him and he is as ineffective as he was against the 49ers, the Tebows defense may be what wins the game.

Unfortunately, until someone hits Jerry Jones with a bus, or the anesthesiologist accidentally induces a coma during his next rhinoplasty, the Cowboys aren't going anywhere. Houston is now the football capital.

Wrong, they played horrible. The fact is they had to settle for 2 field goals and couldn't convert to touchdowns is a big red flag they will be no match for NE.

Furthermore, Pit didn't have top talent playing that game. Denver played a 60% PIT team and not a 100%.

New England will roll them.

I can see your point but since i mean 90% of the people said that the steelers would "Roll" them, I would like to see these assumptions in action!

Honestly though, I would agree with you that the Pats will most likely beat them, but anything can happen (today was a perfect example).

Someone was interviewing Tom Brady last week, and naturally they brought up Super Bowl 42. The look on his face was priceless: "Can we not talk about that? PleasE? Mkay? Thanks."

Geez, so much pressure. But I subscribe to the Tebow theory: God doesn't care who wins a football game, evne if it is the Super Bowl. Go Giants!
