Surgery vs Recruiting?

Hello all,

So I was just told that I have a torn rotator cuff and it needs surgery. The doctor said that it will be 6 weeks of healing for the first phase ( the big ass cast), and this is during recruiting season. Do I put off the surgery until like November or December? I'm from a non-target and I need every minute of time I have to better position myself and I feel like this will slow me down. All opinions/experiences will be appreciated.

An interview is only one day of your life, get the surgery if you need it.

Big cast will make you more memorable (for better or worse). If your injury is from baseball or something, it's a great way to immediately talk about something interesting with all of the interviewers.

If there's any risk of long term problems due to delaying the surgery, then do the surgery now. Full stop.

Recruiting might seem like the most important thing going on right now, but it's definitely not worth putting off surgery for if it's better to do now.
