Switching between types of consulting

How hard is it to switch from HR division to Strategy division or something like a small heath care consulting firm to a larger firm and strategy division?

What about going from consulting to IBD?

Thanks, sorry if this was posted before.

this is a really vague question

it will depend a lot on the consulting firms, the types/size of clients, etc.

that being said I know people who have switched from HRconsulting to management/strat consulting

and I myself switched from consulting to IB, although I think the switch in the opposite direction is more common
