Switching Careers from Trading
So I just accepted a job in NYC as a trader at a prop trading firm. My goal is to eventually have a quant research/Quant PM position at a quantitative hedge fund. What are the best routes to eventually get into a position like that? Should I apply for S&T at a BB? Or should I try to go to B-School? Or should I just start applying for quant research positions at hedge funds after a few years? I just finished a BS in Math from a top 3 public school (think Berkeley, Virginia, Michigan). I've heard a lot of advice on this topic, so any insight would be appreciated.
