Switching from Equity research to M&A
Hi guys,
Need your advice considering that i have a recent MBA from good school
Taking a job in BB as ER for 55k GBP vs taking a job in M&A as an analyst in BB for 40k GBP.
Ideally would like to work in M&A.
How difficlut is to switch from ER to M&A? If I work in ER, can I switch to M&A at associate level? Consider the bonus option in the two roles and illuminate me please.
S
There is not a single budge bracket firm that pays investment banking analysts $40,000. You need to get your story straight and repost your question. Furthermore, why would you be entertaining the idea of taking an analyst position if you have an MBA?
is this for a position in Europe? 40K Euros would make more sense.
I am almost sure he quoted salaries in GBP. From what I know and correct me if I'm wrong, the move isn't unheard of, specially if you prove yourself in a specific sector and can demonstrate more skills outside the financial analysis. The skills from either job can be transferable, however the output is different.
One question, if it's a good MBA, how come you don't go straight to associate level for the M&A job? Because I'm sure that salary in ER is for associate level.
This person is a fucking retard and probably can't even tie his own shoes in the morning. Don't bother - he's probably lying anyway.
