Switching from politics via MBA?
I'm working in politics right now (worked on state and national level) after getting my degree in political science. I have little experience in consulting so far, only a 3 months internship in an unknown company during my undergrad and none in IB.
I am currently considering doing an MBA and switch careers, but I am not sure how well my profile will support this change. Is it worth the investment or would I be wasting my time?
Furthermore, I am not quite sure which program would be most helpful if I plan on working in Germany. I am currently considering WHU, ENSADE, Mannheim and FSFM. Which would be the best choice?
You can definitely use an mba to break into banking, but you will want at least 2 years of full time work experience before you apply to give you the best chances of getting in. You can definitely get this experience at the boutique consulting firm or in politics.
