'System' to keep track of your experiences?

Hi All,

Analyst in PE here (<2yrs). I would be super interested to know if you have a ‘system’ to build on your experiences. Do you keep track of each deal/firm/industry you’ve worked on? Do you have a ‘target’ template you polish over time? Or do you think it’s basically unnecessary work?

I have a basic system where I take notes of industries (size, cagr, drivers, competition), but I don’t find it super useful tbh.

Thanks for your insights!
