TA Realty - Boston
What is the reputation of TA Realty? I know they have a couple billion under management and are probably one of the largest shops in Boston but any thoughts overall on culture/pedigree?

Incredibly well established group. They have the brand of TA associates, founded by the TA guys back in the 80s and were one of the pioneer in the fund management industry of RE (colloquially referred to as "REPE" by WSO kids).
Just caught up with a friend there over last year and the update is that TA is heading to be more like a modern RE company - meaning they're hiring more operators, AMers and more analysts/associates support. The company is currently structured like a corporate PE firm, where you have either have a Principal (carry participation) or Non-Principal (no carry - so junior folks, admins, etc) job. They would like to structure more like a RE company nowadays with (Analysts-Associates-VP-SVP-etc) due to the intensive operating requirements of the RE industry that requires more analytical support from the junior level employees. So, good news is, they're hiring. Bad news is, hires won't likely be in the carry since there's only so much cake to go around...
They have numerous separate accounts relationships that are evergreen and not going away. Also few close end / open end funds that are continuously expanding due to attractiveness of the RE sector. People are nice, kind, smart, "prestigious" - whatever that means to you.
Top brand shop for you if you can get a job there.
Interviewed with them when I lived in Boston - seemed like a solid group. Pay is good, albeit have heard from others they’re sweaty and juniors will work long hours so will need to put the work in. Seems par for the course given it’s REPE. Would def interview if given the opportunity & you’re interested in real estate finance
