Talking with a Parter at a BB
Hey Guys,
I have an opportunity to have a phone conversation with the Co-Head of Investment Banking at a BB. I've had conversations with Analysts, Associates, and VP's, but never with someone at the Partner level. (I am a Junior at a non-target looking for a 2012 SA internship)
Do I still follow the same basic format of an informational interview? For example... "what was your career path? Why this bank? What advice you might have?
I did some research on the guy and he seemed to be involved with a couple HUGE deals. (Main advisor to a couple M&A deals over 3 billion)
Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks.
I would research the shit outta this person get so far up his ass that you can count the hair on his rectum.
Should I ask about the deals they have previously worked on?
Just talk with the guy and have a normal unscripted but prepared conversation. Learn something, befriend the guy, but please don't interrogate him with questions about deals he worked on. Jesus Christ, you guys are way over thinking this.
Lol, I see that your certified user status has been revoked. Freshman UBS PWM interns...
Do try again next summer.
