TAS vs Valuation

I've just accepted an offer to leave my accounting firm (as an audit senior) to join Duff & Phelps as an analyst in their transaction advisory services practice. I have a lot of interest in eventually pivoting into IB, Corporate Finance, or PE. Duff & Phelps is obviously known for its valuations practice so I'm curious to how difference TAS is from Valuations with a firm like D&P and which would be better in getting to the roles I'm interested in.
