Taylor Swift is on pace to make $365 million this year.

Another example of how scalable work trumps hard work. Those Chinese peasants working at Apple's sweatshops do work hard, and have little to show for it.

Guarantee you nobody is asking for her to pay more in income taxes. And she does in fact take money directly from people, in the form of revenue for her music. But that evil asshole Ken Griffin....something really need to be done about him...

What? She's exactly the type who the masses are asking/demanding to pay more in taxes.

Jelly bros get upset about doctors making $200k per year. Of course they get pissed about a no talent singer raking in $1MM per day.

Also, everybody who makes money takes it 'directly from people'. It doesn't just appear out of thin air for anyone. What does that matter?

I'm confused.

No Dick you don't understand, everyone is under the Taylor Swift spell. She videotapes herself around Christmas wrapping presents for under-privileged kids, and suddenly she is a saint. The masses love her, they don't care if she is grossly wealthy.

Really? I almost never once see anyone asking for entertainers, actors, etc paying more in taxes. If this has happened, I haven't seen it. They're usually asking for business leaders, hedge fund managers, CEOs, etc to pay more.

Thought my point was obvious. When Ken Griffin makes a billion in a year, he did it by taking advantage of other huge players in the market. Taylor Swift makes her income largely by ticket sales, music sales, merchandise, etc. Things that are all willingly paid for.

I'm not trying to say one is better than the other...my simple point is, those on the far left have no reason shelling out their own money to those who are already successful to support their work, and cheer loudly whenever they pretend to give a shit about them in return. However, they are quick to demonize those who made their money in other ways, and loudly demand it be redistributed because it's not "fair"
