Hello, prospective analyst here. If I am not able to work for a BB straight out of undergrad, is it worth my time to take a job at a smaller, boutique investment bank? How different are the hours? How different are the salaries? Are the experiences basically the same? Do boutiques carry any prestige with business schools? The answers to any of these questions would help me a lot.

Entirely depends on the boutique. I assume you aren't talking about the exceptional boutiques. From my experiences and friends: Boutiques aren't nearly as bad. Some of them let you out by 8pm. All nighters still happen but they are very rare. Salaries can depend as well. I would say they are always lower. By how much depends on the boutique. You could be making 10k less all in, or 40+k less all in. In terms of experience, the biggest difference is you are working on smaller sized deals.
